Cristi Puiu movie enters Vienna Film Festival

The Death of Mr. Lazarescu," directed by Cristi Puiu is one of the six features already selected for this year's Vienna International Film Festival, to be held between October 14 - 26, according to event's site.

The full programme will be set at the end of September, but the organisers have already announced part of the feature films, documentaries and short films selected for the competition.

Puiu's movie, which won the Un Certain Regard prize at the Cannes Festival, is now competing in Copenhagen (August 18-28) and is presented in a non-competitive section, Regional OFF, at the Sarajevo Festival (August 19-27). It will also take part in two festivals in Toronto and New York in the fall.
