Cluj Come Back To Force Draw

Giantkillers Cluj are still on course for a place in the UEFA Cup after forcing a 1-1 draw with Lens in their Intertoto Cup final first-leg match on Wednesday

The Romanians, who number Athletic Bilbao and St Etienne among their victims in this year's competition, fought back well after their French visitors took the lead after 24 minutes through Yoann Lachor.
Cristian Turcu's 57th-minute strike for Cluj levelled matters and Lens finished the match with 10 men after Jerome Leroy was sent off with seven minutes remaining.
Hamburg's excellent run of form continued as they chalked up their eighth successive victory to edge closer to the UEFA Cup with a 1-0 win over Valencia. Sergej Barbarez's strike was enough to give the north German side a slender advantage going into the second leg. But a red card for the Bosnian striker five minutes from the end tainted an otherwise perfect evening for Thomas Doll's side, who achieved their objective of keeping a clean sheet at the AOL-Arena.
